How can adults endure racism at work?

I'm 15 and in my experiences volunteering, I see a lot of adults suffer from racism at work and yet they still treat and respect their co workers. Why would they still treat their co workers with respect even when they are victims of racism? Is this a sign of weakness? I think this is almost like bullying. This is pretty much like bullying. Minorities get the **** while their co workers get to do the better work. If I were them I wouldn't even give them any respect.
